‘Oslo drama’ a plan
organized earlier!
Declare Norway as an enemy country! |
|
[14th June 2006 - 15:15 S.L.T] Lankatruth report
The Patriotic
National Movement points out that there is enough validation to confirm
that Norway is an opponent of Sri Lanka. The PNM emphasizes that Norway
is no more in a position to hold diplomatic relations with Sri Lanka.
The pioneers of the
PNM at a media briefing held this morning (13) said that it was apparent
from the Wanni Tigers’ behaviour at Oslo, it was not a sudden decision
taken by them but as a result of a well-planned programme in advance.
“Norwegian
Government prepared Oslo talks to wash down blood stained clothes of the
Tigers” – Wimal Weerawansa
Mr
Weerawansa said that the Norwegian Government organized the Oslo
discussions since it could not take Tigers alone to their country. He
added that the Wanni Tigers acted according to a plan organized in
advance rather than in an unforeseen situation.
Both the Tiger
organization and the Norwegian Government was aware of the leader of the
Government team prior to departure for Oslo discussions. But they did
not oppose at that moment.
It is obvious that
the Norwegian Government wanted to wash down blood-stained clothes of
the Tigers. Announcing the talks were unsuccessful, Norwegian Minister
Eric Solheim said this situation has arisen because of the ban on the
Tiger Organisation by the European Union. At that moment also they acted
in a way to cleanse the Tigers, said Mr Weerawansa.
If Norway is a
legitimate facilitator they should have apologized the Sri Lankan
Government on the situation and send the Tigers back home, he said. But
at least they did not act to apologize on the issue. Instead they
allowed the Tigers to challenge the sovereignty of the Sri Lankan
Government from their country.
The Norwegian
Government has allowed the Tigers to convene their representatives of
European countries to discuss in detail on their future plans. All the
expenses also have been bored by the Norwegian Government.
Mr Wimal Weerawansa
pointed out although the Norwegians used to do these envious acts
secretly and trained the tigers secretly earlier, they are engaged in
these activities openly now. Following the announcement by the Tigers
that they will not participate in the discussions, the Tigers issued a
six-page statement. This statement appears to have been drafted as a
legal document which cannot be issued within one day. It is clear that
this statement has been written based on an interim administration, said
Mr Weerawansa.
At the same time the
SLMM also has published another statement which should not have been
done. It is written as an analysis on the Geneva talks. Hence such a
statement should be issued for the second round of Geneva talks. These
facts prove that both Tigers and the Norwegians are acting in an
analogous manner.
According to the
relevant report terrorist activities had begun with the assassination of
Wigneshwaran in Trincomalee. Consequently they are trying to justify the
claymore attacks against the security services, ‘pearl cruser’ attack
and the suicide attack attempt on the Army Commander’s life by the
Tigers. They have tried to cover up the attempt on the lives of 710
un-armed soldiers,
Mr Weerawansa added.
The report indicates
that the security personnel were dead in military operations. But at
every instance the security personnel died either while they were
returning home or when on duty inside the bunkers. By this means also
they have justified the terrorist attacks of the Tigers.
The SLMM report has
cited that Sri Lanka is a country without a law and the Army should be
made democratic. It is obvious that Norway is trying to show the world
that the Army is killing without any restraint. In other worlds they are
paving the way for the UN forces to interfere.
Commenting on the
questionnaire forwarded by Solheim to both Government and the Tigers, Mr
Weerawansa said that they have no right to present a similar document to
an independent country and a terrorist organization. He questioned
whether Norway is trying to compare Sri Lankan Government with a
terrorist organization or Tiger terrorists with a sovereign state.
Localize the
national problem which has been internationalized
– Dr Gunadasa
Amarasekera
President
of the PNM, Dr Gunadasa Amerasekera said that the national problem which
has become an international problem unnecessarily to be freed and
consider as an internal problem.
Dr Amarasekera
further stated Norway pretending as a facilitator is engaged in a hoax.
Norway is trying to give away the ‘Eelam’ by two ways. One is to offer
them a confederation status while the other way is to intervene the UN
peace-keeping force.
Dr Amarasekera
emphasized that in the circumstances the Government should take severe
action taking firm decisions. He also urged that Norway should be
removed acting as the facilitator in the national problem of Sri Lanka.
He also emphasized
that the Government should take steps to ban the Tiger Organization as a
terrorist organization. |

Tigers will be accomplished.

| New
organization for separation of North & East |
|
A
new organization called “Alliance for Protection of Rights of the People in
the East” (APRPE) has been formed with the initiative of the Patriotic
National Movement (PNM). The inaugural meeting of this organisation was held
at ‘Savsiripaya’ yesterday morning (22).
This
meeting was convened by the PNM for which its Co-President Parliamentarian
Mr Wimal Weerawansa and the Co-Secretary Dr Gunadasa Amarasekera
participated with several political parties..
The meeting
was attended by representatives of 7 political parties.
It was the
view of the representatives that the North and the East should be separated
and they should remain as two separate
provinces.
The
organisation was unanimous in its decision that, Eastern Province should be
separated from the Northern Province. As such, APRPE was founded to apprise
the people in the country and protect the rights of the people in the
Eastern Province.
The
organisation decided to act against threats to
the people in the East, abductions and killings. It was the view of the
representatives of political parties that although the Indo-Lanka agreement
of 1987 was signed against the will of people, alleging that it was to solve
the problems of the Tamils it was not an effective agreement.
The
alliance of political parties convened by PNM comprised of SLFP, JVP, PNM,
National Congress, TMVP (Thamileela
Makkal Viduthalar
Pulikal lead by Karuna
Amman) and United Democratic Organization.
Invitations
had been extended to UNP, MEP, JHU, Sinhala
Jathike Sangamaya
and National United Alliance. But their inability to attend the meeting due
to prior engagements was informed.
The
representatives agreed to take several measures to get the East separated
from the North. They consented not to act
as
individual parties but as APRPE, a united body in achieving the goal of
separating the East from the North. |

We should give
our best to children even in a disaster |
|
Up to now all the relief activities organized
by various organizations have failed to recognize the vulnerability
of children to develop psychiatric disorders resulting from mental
trauma. There are more than 200,000 displaced in the coastal areas.
Therefore we have launched a program to improve
the psychological status as well as the physical well being of
children living in camps. We are in need of Reading Books, drawing
books, painting kits, all kinds of toys, small sport items, small
music instruments, children cloths, carpets, school bags, sweets
–etc.

Mr.
Wimal Weerawanse, Member of the Executive Committee of PNM and
Member of Parliament addressing the convention said the UNP
government during its tenure of two years had dragged the country to
the brink of disaster by betraying it economically, politically and
culturally to foreigners. If the UNP was allowed to continue their
regime for the rest of their period of five years they would have
betrayed the country to LTTE terrorists and complete their tenure by
getting a seat in the UNO for the terrorists. PNM came forward at
this juncture to drive away the UNP and protect the Motherland from
the vicious clutches of the terrorists said Mr. Weerawanse.
Defeating the puppet regime of pro-imperialist Ranil Wickremasinghe
was a victory for the patriotic forces said Mr.Weerawanse.
Establishing a Government of patriotic forces on the 2nd
of April to fulfill the aspirations of the masses by driving away
the traitors who had capitulated to the imperialists and putting
forward a policy statement without any mention of a federal element
of devolution of power are the victories of patriotic forces added
Mr. Weerawanse. PNM, as a strong mass movement, taught Ranil
Wickremasinghe, a shrewd campaigner politically, a lesson for trying
to rule without fulfilling the wishes of the masses said
Mr.Weerawanse adding that the National Movement of this country,
which gives leadership to PNM, is ready to teach the same lesson to
anyone who would try to follow the footpath of Wickremasinghe and
his lackeys.
The
Convention was also addressed by Executive Committee Members of PNM
Ven. Elle Gunawanshe Thera, Ven. Dr. Wilegoda Ariyadeva, Dr.Gunadasa
Amarasekera and Renowned Artist Buddhadsa Vithanachchi. The
convention was attended by a large gathering including Executive
Committee Members of PNM.

The session lasted
for more than three hours and it was unanimously decided to
formulate a parogramme of action for the New Year.
The National
Executive Council of the PNM has decided to launch protests against
the laws that enable to sell lands to foreigners, a movement to act
as teetotalism against the process of ruining the country with
alcoholism and a gigantic programme against the declining of
culture. To realize these it has been decided to establish
sub-committees within the next few weeks.
The attention of the
National Executive Council of the PNM was drawn towards the
expansion of Christian fundamentalist cliques and the religious
conflicts that would be created as a result of it. It was decided
that any attempt to create conflicts between Buddhist or Catholic or
Christians should be prevented by all means and a united movement of
Buddhists, Catholics, Christians, Hindu and all religions against
the invasion of these fundamentalist cliques should be established.
It was emphasized that it is the necessity of the foreign forces to
divide the country on religious basis and the country should not be
allowed to get entrapped in this snare.
Since, the National Executive
Council meets again at the end of January; it was decided to frame a
plan of action relevant to these proposals at that session. It was
also decided to hold the Convention of the Patriotic National
Movement which is scheduled to be held in February in a grand scale.
