Lankatruth Report
A group of members
of the Patriotic National Movement visited wounded war heroes who are
undergoing treatment at the Colombo National Hospital last evening (03).
There are 24
security forces personnel undergoing treatment at the moment. They
consist of of 16 navy personnel, 7 Army members and one Air Force
officer, Flying Officer Talaketiya.
The group included
General Secretary of the PNM, Parliamentarian Wimal Weerawansa, Dr
Wasantha Bandara, Mr Senaratne de Siva, Film Director Somaratne
Diassanayake and Mrs Renuka Balasuriya.
Dr Anil Jayasinghe
of the Emergency Unit of the National Hospital and Ms. Pushpani Ramyani
and other medical officers and nurses accompanied them.
Mr Weerawansa who
had a friendly chat with the security forces members wished them speedy
recovery. The security forces personnel thanking the team said that
their visit gave them much strength.
